Today was a good day. Flowers are in full bloom and everyone is doing well. Had to band our little boy goat today and it went really well. Feeling grateful. 🩵 Rose (front) and Sophia (back) The whole yard smells like apple blossoms! Had a wild wood duck brave enough to say hello to the ladies.

Sad news, I lost little Dale yesterday. Stupid accident where he jumped/fell at the exact perfect angle to fall from the coop entrance into the chicken’s water. Their regular waterer was leaking, and I swapped it for a tray style dish, and put that up on a cinderblock so the chicks wouldn’t...

Today’s cuteness. Nothing exciting to report, everyone is doing well and all chickens are getting along. Tate keeps all the “aunts” in line and they mostly ignore the babies. Aunt George (another buff orpington) is the most curious of the bunch, but I suspect she might just want their food. :p...
