With a heat source in a corner of their area (very well secured!!!) they should be fine. Mine move out by three weeks of age under the same circumstances.

Here in Michigan, we want to have our annual 'Chickenstock' in August or September. it was one of the many 2020 events deferred until 2021, hope we can have it happen this year too.

Also, your hen might have been in that lower location because she was ill, and then froze after death. Without at least a crude necropsy, you'll never know. Cold is definitely a stress, but underlying health issues are very likely.
So sorry for her loss.

The face hugging N95 mask, properly adjusted, are pretty good. Those loose fitting thingies might keep the wearer from sneezing goo everywhere, they don't block dust, much less anything else, from getting in.

Wear at least a N95 dust mask, available in the paint department at the big box stores, or an actual respirator. It's not really that comfortable, but being able to breathe and LIVE is more important!
