Oh no, that looks like a cockerel to me :( Barred rock females are darker (like the one in the bottom corner of your pic), and the males have much more white. Check out this post/thread: Barred Rock Gender

Thanks! I'll be asking around :jumpy I figured I'd better learn how to incubate before buying shipped eggs from all the gorgeous breeds I want... We can't have Roosters but we can have 25 hens, and so far only have 5 pullets (and our coop to house 25 is almost livable!)
