Depends where you got them from. Some of the hatchery birds even the females are having very smutty dark unusual colors colors for favs. Could probably tell a little more if youd take some close ups of the heads etc
Hello, I wanted to get a few opinions on a blue faverolle cockeral that I hatched out he is about twelve weeks now. I also have a few pullets but it was to dark by the time I got to them for pictures.

I agree they don't look even look like a faverolle of any color especially the first one. Here is one of my guys when he was around the same age he's just a blue.what other breeds did that person have could he be a fav mix?

I have had birds peck at each other to push each other out of the way but have never had them bloody each other. They have about eight acres to get out of each others way and plenty to do though. Lots of room helps.
Thats very interesting. I am planning on keeping the blue but finding a new home for the salmon cockerel. I found hatching eggs from a private breeder in upstate new york. I can find her email if anyone is interested.
They are from the same two birds. Their is quite a size difference as well as the feathering is very different from the two of them. I have seen some hatchery "salmon favs" that are quite dark but are pullets still. What would give the two birds such a size and feather difference?
