I have only got 3 eggs out of my giant hen. The rooster doesn't seem too interested in her either. I'm not sure if I'm going to try to get more or just get rid of them. They sure do eat a lot.

If those are pure salmon you just need to be patient. They should come in all black. Some males will, on occasion, show some "frosting" on there black feathers. That is bot desirable, but don't make any culling decisions until they have their adult plumage.

I thought I would show you guys what I'm doing at the house I'm renting. It was the perfect place to get some pens built to raise birds on my own again. As a few of you know my parents have been raising them the last five years while I was in college and starting a career. Anyway, here's our...

The males cover them pretty well. It's by no means 100% fertility. We will see here soon how fertile they are this year. We put the lights on the second pen over the weekend. We were consistently getting 4 eggs a day out of 7. Yesterday they were up to 6. If we start setting again next week we...

I got a trio out at the APA national in shawnee. The hen is pretty good bit I'm going to try to het another male and female. I got them from Robert vaughn. He had a few males there that were awesome. His cock bird probably would have one American in my opinion but his primaries were all broken...

They do pretty well except for the beards. When they get wet and stay cold they look like crap. Mine don't have quite the beards that Peter's do but they are pretty good. You can tell in the pic. The males you have to always watch to make sure you put something on their combs to keep them...
