Does anyone know about the quality of D'Anvers from Gabbard farms? I have 12 of their eggs under one of my broodies and I didn't research very much before I bought them. I have found some threads on the hatchery in general (very mixed reviews) but no one seems to have tried the D'Anver eggs or...
I am not an expert but the biggest difference I noticed was that d'uccles have feathered legs and D'Anvers have clean legs. Also the combs are different, D'Anvers have a single comb and d'uccles have a rose comb.
Dang. Well, that project gets moved to the top of the list. Their momma-to-be is in a run that tops out at a hair over 4ft. She's a bantam Brahma and has issues getting a foot off the ground. The other coop has a 8-9ft fence, but it also has the biggest bully of a chicken I have ever owned.

That is very good to know! These little guys look adorable and I love how frisky they sound but I live in city limits and they have a strict no roo policy. So boyos will need to be rehomed ASAP. We will be picking one pullet to keep and finding homes for the rest of them later...
