Got my first egg from this summer's chicks! My very small 28 week old EE gave me the cutest egg. I love to have a few with small eggs. Camera enhanced color (see quarter), but it is really pretty mint green.

Do you use supplemental light (since you are in Alaska)? I've been hoping for my first egg from my EEs that turned 24 weeks today., here in California. Love your egg color!
I only have one easter egger, I wish I'd gotten more.
....Actually...I got 3 and TWO were roosters
They are the cutest chicks and such a surprise package, have fun!

Serene is the brown chick in the front. The butterscotch chick in the back ended up a beautiful rooster with white hackles and saddles feathers, green tail, and chocolate front (found a good home for him).
I was surprised to get so much white out of such a dark chick. She is so sweet!
This is my EE "Serene" at ~20 weeks old. The picture is before her comb cherried up red to lay her egg!
And I got my first egg from her yesterday! She is now 24 weeks old. It is a pretty, dark olive green (one on the right side). Brown egg (top) is my Lite Brahma, white egg (left) is my Polish.

Too cute and congrats on the egg. I am waiting for my EE (only 14 weeks old) to lay and I sure want a minty green... Sweety is more important and pinkish is pretty too.

Gosh darn it, where do you guys get those beautiful cinnimany brown colored EE's hens? I tried to pick out some darker chicks to get that color and all I got was a Roo. The hen turned out speckled black and white.
She's so pretty!

groaners! You got your roo, yeah!!!
I'm having a heck of a time integrating my two young EE's (includes Sundae) in with my 20 week old hens Been working on it for a month with a segregated run. Now they are together and it is chaos in the run!
Hope your new roo integrated with your...
Has anybody seen an EE chick this color? Look how puffy her head is! Looks like a little teddy bear (but she better be a she!):
Her name is Sundae cause she looks like butterscotch topping.
