    Geez, I never realized they get that bare. My girls have less feathers on the top of their heads, but I only have 6 hens of breeding age right now. The Ameraucana's are 20 weeks old, so I'm sure they'll be getting tagged soon. But their backs are fine.

    I love my EE also Kathy. Pretty girls! Sydney.......EE's take a while to sex. You should be able to tell around 6-8 weeks.

    Morgan......Technically it's pure Ameraucana, but since it's a non standard color, it's referred to as an EE. ETA: I get 5-6 eggs a week from my EE, and she was one of my best layers in winter.
