Here is my rooster that I'm thinking about putting in with my EE girls. His dad was a buff silkie and mom is an EE. What do you think I might get?? Here are the girls. The rooster with them is leaving. He's not very nice to people.

There's nothing new that I can tell,but with chickens you never know I guess. I feed them in the morning when I go and open their coop. At least when it's not too cold I open it. I give them water in the morning and usually in the afternoon as well. I do have electricity in the coop hallway...

I'm so glad my EE hasn't lost her mind then. I was a little worried something might have been wrong with her. Although she sits a little sideways in the nesting box.

Can EE's go broody? I have one that I caught in a nesting box with eggs last night. I thought something was wrong with her because she's usually stand offish, but I could let her and she started "yelling" at me. I'm surprised I'm getting any eggs at all. I've got 5 broody Cochins, 1 broody...

Not sure but I'd like to know too. I have 7 EE/Silkie mixes right now. Curious to see what they grow up to be but might sell them do to space. I have some. They are smooth feathered but some have the dark skin. I will have to get some pictures of them. They are funny little creatures though...

I suppose I should feel lucky. All my birds started around 16 weeks. Even my silkies started earlier than most. I guess that means I have happy chickens?!?

They are sooo cute! Any thoughts on what I could get if I crossed my EE's with a silkie or a cochin? I have a little partridge sebright too....wonder what she would hatch out if she was with an EE rooster?

Are there bantam EE's?? What about a silkie and EE cross?? I have some EE girls and was wondering about what would I end up with if they were in with my silkies or my cochins??

He has a couple of OE girls. I am not sure if the chicks will or not. I'm hoping they will.
