Thats great that you are adding fans! I can only go out and tend them in the am and check on them in ht afternoon and take them milk jug of ice to put in their water pans and refill their water pans.
I know it will be alot hotter next month so we are going to add a fan for our chickens also.
Ok, I got a pic for you. I should state first that my girl did not have hardly any black on her like yours till a couple weeks ago. They change so much so fast it is hard to keep up with them. lol
But here she is
I will get a pic and post it but it may not be till tomorrow. Due to the fact it is storming pretty good here today.
That is great that you fixed her legs! I have a EE roo that has crooked toes, he was not that way when I got him, but I think it happened in the brooder with all the others...
I have one that looked just like her! She lost her black beard though. Mine also does not have feathers on her legs. But she is one of my sweetest chickens!
Chickencrazy, here is a close up
Her comb usually only has a little bit of a red spot on it, I don't know if she is more red because she is hot or what.
Hi ChickNmamma! I was not hoping for a Rooster. Thank you! I just thought from her size coompared to my other one that looks like her that she had to be a rooster. But I am so happy she is a hen!!!!!! Thank you for your help I appreciate it very much!!!!
Can anyone please tell me if either of these two EE's are hens? Out of 8 so far 5 are Roosters and one is to small to tell yet.
Thank you!
The one behind the water, brown and black.
Can anyone tell me at about what age EE's start laying eggs? I have 8 EE's and two are abt. 4 months old the others are abt. 3 months. I am trying to figure out when to start them on layer feed and oyster shells.
Thanks!
