Right now I have 8 hens in an 8ftx4ft coop - with 2 different 7ft roosts and 3 nesting boxes sitting to the outside of the coop. They all use the higher roost though. They roost themselves about 5:30pm now and I let them out 7:30-8 am. Our run is 25ftx4.5ft which they stay in, except for 10-15...
I've heard that EE's can be slow to start laying! I wasn't expecting anything until April from my September hatch - I'm dying to see if they will lay blue though!

This one has patchier colouring, and longer, tall tail feathers and definite saddles coming down

It's 12 weeks old and the comb is smaller and less red than the 6 definite roos that have long saddle feathers. The back and tail are more similarly shaped to my definite hen girls. I wish I had a better comparison shot!
Saddle feathers? I know all of the rest of them are roosters and have saddle feathers, but this one has a different shaped back, and no wing splotches like the other ones. The comb is definitely pointing rooster, but the feathers coming in are rounder. I don't want to send it off this week if...
