Plus they have straight combs and a variety of problems. There is a picture of some recent silkie/turken crosses on the showgirl thread. They look like turkens that have a bit more volume. Cute but not anything like a sg.
It takes 5-10 generations to get it looking really silkie like. But I find showgirls are better layers ( or silkies with sg parents) because of the outcross.

Breese are fantastic layers. They are laying better then anyone I have and the legs are getting bigger and bigger. They are magestic looking birds as well, I would recommend them to everyone. As well as having something to do with your extra roosters.
