I am in need of a boy.... preferably a older cockerel but I'm willing to do a rooster if he isn't already a couple years old. I'm in East TN but North Carolina state line is closer to me than Knoxville..... also Northern GA isn't too far for me to drive either. So.... Southwestern NC, East TN, N...
I have a extra roo I would love to find a good home for.... I'm in East TN. PM me if interested. The one I would sell is white with red shoulders, blue "ticks" in the hackle. No crest.
Paul, I think google and a translator is the best thing. I know it is thousands of dollars per individual chicken to import, but I have heard of loopholes in importing eggs. However, eggs that have been imported have even less of a chance of hatching. It's a gamble no matter what route you take...
Hen, well, pullet... I was offering her up to trade for a "darker" pullet. (see a few pages back) I have a red and white male already and a mostly red female... just want my flock to be more colorful than that. It is my attraction to the breed in the first place. I always wanted to hatch mutts...
I may... especially if I keep hatching the way I do. I don't want too many that look the same, so if I get duplicates... I'll try to find them homes.
ETA I got more comming out RIGHT NOW! One is grey with red wings... so it's looking good to get some more color going! Can you tell I'm...
Yup, I did... she is the one dead center of the pic. As you can see, there were 4... the cockerel and the girl to the left are at their new homes. The female you barely see in the back has alot of grey and a crest, so I'm keeping her.... and then there is the red and white girl in question...
I know I promised a pic of the red and white pullet today. I'm sorry. I had a nosebleed for hours and had to get medical treatment for it. I'm ok. I got really tired with my "rhino blast" tampon up my nose. I slept up until about 12:30... uh oh! Someone's sleep is messed up now. lol
I'm ok...
On crooked toes... sometimes it is genetic, inbreeding does this. HOWEVER, I have found that mean roos get crooked toes later. I have had some of my meanest roosters start showing aggression and then get crooked toes. I think they just flog and break them. There is nothing anyone can say to make...
I wasn't aware there was another source other than GF for Swedes.... didn't they all get imported originally from them to the US?
*edit to fix my horrible spelling
Anyone in East TN or N GA wanna trade pullets? I have a red and white one growing out that I would love to trade for one with more black in it. Crested or not... I'm only trying to get away from the red and white. I don't want my whole flock to be the same color combo
THANKS!
Going to try to get some pics of the pullets I have from that last hatch. One I'm completely smitten with. I got 6 more developing in the incubator (set 8)!!!
Someone has to stop me!!!
Also... I just sold a young cockerel who was uncrested. Maybe the next round. I try to sell the boys in pairs ASAP if I don't need them. So 4 weeks or so and I know for sure. I can vent sex too, if you were interested in day olds.
