Took me a while too. Pick a rooster then a hen. Then to the right of the hen, push the link that says "Go to Calculator" it will take you to a new page with your chosen pair at the top. If you go to the bottom of the roosters list of possible genes, you will see a button to get results. Don't...

Yes, actually having your dog relieve himself around the outside of coop and runs works very well to discourage predators. I here you can buy dried lion dung from zoos to use as 'scat'

Well, I will have to try that. Hope it works on Bald Eagles too. We seem to have tons of them! Spreading out from the Mississippi which is only 14 miles away! They are discovering farmland MN is full of yummy rabbits, pheasant, chickens, turkeys (wild and domestic) ducks, and lots of lakes in...

Ok, we have a red tailed hawk and a bald eagle hunting on our property daily me! Our neighbour saw the eagle take a rabbit out on his side of the property line yesterday. I am going to have to make sure the chicken runs have roofing that will keep the occupants out of sharp eyesight LOL.

Whoo hoo! Yes!! I took a blue, unlaced rooster over a black silver laced hen. Got a blue unicolour laced rooster and a blue unicolour laced hen. (As expected) Refusing to be discouraged I crossed the two together and what do you know... There is a chance to get blue silver laced!!! Bad news...

Hey, did the calculator and seems you get blue pullets, black split to choc etc. I did notice that no matter what I tried, the silver laced disappeared in all blue, choc and mauve birds replaced with "unicolour laced?" Is this due to a limitation in the calculator or is it saying it can't be...

Probably it is an issue of information at point of sale. For instance, in my Isabelle/Crele program the Crele roosters I may pass on will be split to Lavender, so I should, in all fairness, disclose that to the person taking the bird. Jeremy is right, if you keep good records, make sure you know...

That would be interesting. The calculator gave me all black progeny, some split some not. Took me totally by surprise. Was wondering if I did something wrong. I take morphine for chronic pain due to a 25 ft fall off a ladder to a concrete floor and I have short term memory issues so I DO make...
