I mix calf manna into the reg feed during molt and to incourage good feather return durung molt. Some along with the reg feed does not hurt either.About 1/4 cp per hen,
I have some orps that are older too. They refuse to lay in the winter. Even if I put lights on them, they will rest. Next Spring they lay hugh eggs. Not as many but they lay.
Ther is a line of the American that are very large. I know that I had some one time. They almost are as big as the English. My splash was given away I almost regret it. But to many roos in one coop does not work to well.
I LOVE orphingtons!!! They are so full and walk swishing their skirts and fancy pants. The large roos seem gentle always for me too.

Wow! They sure are pretty. I can not let mine run free but they have a big covered run in the wooded area. I would love that but the hawks etc are in abundance next to the National forest in Macon cty.

Believe it or not, the peony is the tree type, It was in a baggy from a garden center years ago. Last yr. it got dug up. I hope it did not die this winter. It does not have a name but I have loved it.
