my two older pullets came from Shannon, the woman here in CA who recently stopped breeding them -- these two were her last two birds, after she sold the rest. the three younger chicks came from Debs_flock here on BYC, who lives up in the Sierra foothills. here's a snap of one of them recently...
I am definitely jealous -- have five silver campines myself, two pullets are just starting to lay and the other three (i *think* one is a girl, two are boys) are only about 10 weeks old -- can't wait to see pictures of your birds!
to give credit where credit is due, my coops are all adapted from plans bought ($20, a worthwhile investment!) from this guy:

they look fabulous! a small breeding-pen addition to my coops was just finished yesterday:
it has two 4'x8' side-by-side pens, each with its own 4'x30" henhouse & nesting boxes -- could be used as breeding pens, or to isolate a broody with her chicks, or to grow out little chicks, or whatever...
i will undoubtedly be assisting, but a friend who's a contractor will be doing the bulk of the work... but also happy to help others! and mine are all 6' or higher inside -- agree with everyone else that accessibility is key!!
i'm going to be making an add-on to my existing pens next week, which will be an 8x8' run space with an 8x3' elevated henhouse along one side, and then divided in half to make two 8x4' runs each with a 4x3' henhouse -- hoping to use these for breeding (and/or isolating broodies) next year...
just want to say ditto, from another lurker -- i got my first chickens only a little over a year ago, and am now just tiptoeing toward the idea of breeding them at all, still not sure how serious that will become -- but this thread is SO informative and interesting, and clearly i have so much...
thanks for following up on this, Ron -- odd that i didn't remember it was Shannon, as that's who i got my two silver campine pullets from, when she decided to just focus on the SPPRs plus araucanas.
Cheryl sold off all of her birds this winter, due to health problems i believe -- I'm not sure who ended up with her breeding stock, i only have two of her SPPR hens, both are a little over a year old and have been broody twice this year, both make excellent moms. and they are *gorgeous* -- but...
took some updated photos today -- here are the silver campines, probably about 5 months old now?

I have ten of Deb's silvers' eggs that will be hatching in 4 or 5 days -- plus two pullets i got from Die Fly Ranch (Shannon) when she decided to narrow down the number of breeds she's working with -- they were her last two, and they're gorgeous:
