Please don't blame yourself. It takes two to make a marriage work, one person can't do it all when the other is not committed and unfaithful. I'm praying for you!

Those are great to keep charged for emergency lighting in your home, too. Just don't put them in the ground, keep them in a bucket or vase on a table out in the sun. I have power to my coop so I have two small night lights that come on after dark when the timer cuts off the main light it...

I forgot to mention for those who live in Texas and close to Stryk Jersey Farm they sell milk for $5.50 if you pick it up. It's self serve when no one is at home, believe it or not, you write down what you buy, leave your money in the metal box and then get your milk out of the big freezer. We...

I can completely understand any choice that a person makes regarding raw milk. Whole milk at our local store is almost $5 a gallon so $5.50 isn't that much more for us. Ever so often they will have it on sale 2 gallons for $5 and I'll buy two and freeze one. It doesn't thaw as nice as raw...

It doesn't and we had no idea of that when we started using it several months ago. We just noticed that after two weeks the milk was still good unlike the store bought. Last year I was visiting a friend of mine in Georgetown, Texas and we went to a dairy there and I bought milk and butter...

I buy raw milk from a local dairy when it's on sale for $5.50 a gallon. It normally sells for $7 but the owner emails me when they have it on sale. He's also willing to trade eggs for milk. So far we haven't been able to trade due to my eggs are spoken for when he has his milk on sale. I buy...

I'm going to try it for sure and you made me want beans for supper. Have you ever tried Anasazi Beans? They're hard to find and kind of expensive but they make the best pot of beans. Beans and cornbread are one of my favorite meals!

I can make yeast rolls, cinnamon rolls, Challah, Brioche for French toast, french bread, white and wheat bread but don't know how to make a pie crust. I gave up years ago thinking it was just something I couldn't do. I'm going to try this pie crust recipe because I love pie. When I do make a...

Years ago, the first time I had chickens, I had a hen that was always going broody so I put eggs under her and on day 20 took them to school for a kindergarten class and the students got to see them hatch. It was so cool to watch them hold up the eggs to their ears and hear the chicks chirping...

Good for you! I wanted to build one but my husband said it wouldn't work so we bought the Hova Bator with fan and turner. We just used it for the first time. Out of 35 eggs (we have 1 rooster with 45 hens) 20 hatched, the others either weren't fertile or died before finishing development.

Yes, it doesn't seem to hurt it at all. The grass is greener and grows faster in the back where the sprayers spray. Once a month we put a whole gallon in and it delivered it so much at a time. It doesn't all go in and then out. Our internet was down most of yesterday and the night. Sorry...

It's not solar like it sounds, I know it's confusing. Solar Air is the residential sewer system that we have and it's made by National Wastewater Systems, Inc. It's an aerobic system. Once a month we put a bottle of clorox in the system. The sprayers are set to a timer so that they spray in...

When I had my old top lid washer I always left the lid up. We got our first rain last week in almost two months. Our grass was turning yellow and orange. Hopefully the rain we got will bring back some green to our grass. In 2009 the drought was so bad we lost some trees and all the grass...

When not in use I leave the door to my HE washer wide open. It's inside the laundry room so it's not a problem to leave it open.

I bought the LG model about 3 years ago. I will buy a regular top load washer and dryer next time and save a lot of money. It didn't make sense to use less soap and less water and get cleaner clothes but I listened to others. Fool me once.......

We have a water well, too. Our well is over 500 feet deep and our water is very soft. We had a hot tub several years ago and I couldn't keep the water hard enough. I was constantly putting in ph decreaser and calcium hardner to keep the water clear. We finally sold it to someone with city...

I quit using it due to my whites weren't white anymore. We also have a septic system and I have a HE washer and dryer. Haven't heard about the problem with the septic system. I'm having a problem with my towels, dish rags and dish clothes smelling bad even though I've washed in hot...
