    Give more of a thought about making one as they ban be expensive but you can have more fun with one you make and Styrofoam and a light bulb oh a temp indicator and boom you got an incubator ... Keep it simple sweetie or Kiss Go to the BYC learning center and look up incubators Enjoy...

    This happens over time nothing uncommon and a replacement heating element is easily replaced in most cases so is your incubator back in action yet ...

    Well I had a Russian Orloff chick jump out at day 18 Well them hens only drop an egg every several days but one was dropped this evening so I have a replacement for that empty spot in the incubator

    I use the wire bottom in the incubator and the brooder as the wire lets the droppings drop away and into the catch pan for easer cleaning but I have used news paper for taking photos as it reflects the light better and after the photo op the paper is removed ....... My brooder...

    Relax and watch the miracle of life and day 19 is alright as it can take more then a day for the chicks to hatch .. I get egg's hatching anywhere from day 18 to 23 so just sit back as lockdown is just that nothing needed more from you as mother nature is taking over and as much as you think...
