Could anyone point me to a link explaining what happens when you breed Rhodebars back to RIR's? Will the first gen chicks be autosex?

They've been one of the most prolific egg layers we have had. Right up there with the australorps. Of course, leghorns could probably beat them, but I'm guessing that's about it. Size has been great, too. Frequently jumbo size and the biggest egg we've ever gotten was from our RB's. 92 grams!!

From what I understand, their ideal type is the same as a heritage Rhode Island Red. As far as coloring goes, I have yet to find an answer of what a perfect Rhodebar looks like. Not too much black in the hackles and saddles(I believe), but that's all I (think) I know. Good luck finding your...

lol Black majick. We just brought them home. They had a 45 minute ride in 90° weather. The light was fading so I went ahead and took the pic as soon as we got them into quarantine. They stopped singing shortly thereafter.
