    You should get a black sex link . Chicks should be mostly black . Males will have a white head spot . Unless the Chantecler is dominant white . Then no sex linkage as the chicks would be mostly white and you could not see a white head spot on a white chick .

    Depends on which way you do the cross . Rhodebar male over buckeye hens will give you barred pullets and single barred cockerels . Not able to sex at hatch because all will be single barred .     No need to separate them and possibly disrupt their laying. Just check their vent for size. If laying the vent should be large moist and pliable. If eggs are being laid the opening will be large enough for the egg to exit.

    Single barred birds should have a solid colored feather somewhere. Often in the tail. Could save you test breeding. Here is a example.

    Candled my rhodebar shipped eggs today on day 8. I see 8 that look to be developing out of 14. So fingers crossed for enough for a start.

    I received my shipment of Rhodebar eggs today. All 14 made it in good shape. Air cells look good.
