They will be newly hatched chicks, that is why I'm worried. I couldn't find any locally. Do you think if I plugged a heat lamp into a portable energy source they would be okay? I can hold the container the entire trip as I won't be the driver.

Does anyone know how long a chick can go without a heat lamp? I want to pick up two SLW 5 hours away, I'm worried about traveling that long. How can I keep them warm?
