    sorry, i meant single comb. And yes, obviously SLW aren't supposed to have single combs. But what does it matter if you're just using them for eggs?

    I've noticed that a lot of hatchery SLW have straight combs, over half of the ones i purchased had them. You can see the guy in the front has a big straight comb.

    Some of my SLW's had brown on their heads when they first got here. Is there any reason for them to have brown heads?

    Haha yay a SLW thread! I just got back into chickens this year and got some from a local breeder. Hope you don't mind all the pics xD These are the 'original five' that I got, first chicks this year. This is one of the pullets from that batch. We no longer have any of these five, as 3 died...
