22 weeks and counting... They've all had red combs & wattles for several weeks, but no squatting and no eggs. Sigh.

Ironically, we watered the garden today and it's now thunderstorming! I figure eating a bucket of Bojangles fried chicken in front of them should kick them into gear, too, no?

Looks like I'm going to be buying even MORE eggs after the remainder of my last dozen + my (bought) duck eggs are gone. My pullets are 20 weeks + 4 days old and still barren. AAAAAANNNTTTTIICCIIIIIIPPPPPPAAAAAAAATION!!!

Almost 20 weeks old (Monday!) and still no sign of eggs on my end... sigh. (my girls, minus Bacon, the other EE.)

Are they supposed to have distinct wattles? Most of the photos I've seen, they don't really have much of one... And yes, if I had to bet, I'd say that Bacon, my EE, will be the first to lay, but I'm not expecting much out of her for a few more weeks either. I have not read the egg watch play...

Yeah... Waffles, the one on my shoulder, has gotten my eye, my teeth and my lip before. I just try to be more cautious now; I don't want to discourage her from climbing up! Waffles & Bacon, the EE that's directly in front of me, were in my lap this evening - just no photographic evidence! :)...

Oh, I've basically given up on them ever making my breakfast. They're just our pets that live in the backyard and eat the leftovers and love refrigerator clean out day. I'll try to get new photos of them soon. Based on my palpation of their pelvises, some should lay... soon, and some should...

My girls are 18 weeks tomorrow. I just bought a dozen eggs from a local farm. Here's hoping this is our last store bought dozen, though I said that a few weeks ago when I got 3 dz chicken eggs and a dozen duck eggs. :/

They're hatchery birds, so I'm sure they're actually EEs. I palpated one of them a couple of days ago, and her pelvic bones are well separated. One of the Brahmas is starting to separate, and the other Brahma & the Marans aren't really separated at all. I couldn't catch my other EE, as she is...

My girls are almost 15 weeks old. I've stocked up on 3dz chicken eggs and a dozen duck eggs. They had better get eggs before I run out of my current stock! ;)
