So, my work horse Hay Hay has gone 6/6 in her first 6 days laying. Pretty incredible. @ronott1 Check out how blue today's egg was (on right) compared the the last two days. (I ate 1-3 and they were delicious). White egg for reference.

Got a first egg from my Ameraucana. Was more green than blue. She's for sure a pure blue amer. Will the eggs get bluer or is the first one pretty much how they always will look? Anyway, really glad to have eggs again. Would show a photo but my 2 yr old was so excited to see an egg finally she...

I've had a flock before, but haven't been this excited because they were all brown egg layers. Really stoked to see the blue of this egg.

She built a big deep nest in the nesting box yesterday. Should be anytime now right?

Don't know, I keep manipulating it to make it look inviting. It's already a nice bowl shaped nest. Haha

Man, my beautiful 24 week old blue Ameraucana, hay hay has been squatting for a week (she really enjoys the petting while squatting more than any other hen I've had..almost too much). Have a half dozen store bought left. Gotta wait.... think 24 weeks is early for a pure Ameraucana, but I'm hopeful.
