It's not carcinogenic, it's a 'mechanical' danger. Zeolite absorbs ammonia and probably other chemical gases. Very, very small particles of mineral can scar the lungs....kinda like getting sand in your eyes. Silica, zeolite, DE, bentonite clay...(and water).... are all bad to breathe...
