Our Suzi went broody again a while back.... well... 22 days ago to be exact. :)
We let her have four eggs.

Weather was tolerable today, almost sunny! So our momma and babies took a field trip outside.
First order of business, for momma, was a dust bath. The chicks didn't completely understand this behavior, or how to stay out of the way of the flying gravel at first, but they figured it out, and...
Our peepers are a couple weeks old now and yesterday I let them out of the barn for the first time. It was cold, but the sun felt warm.
I was hoping she'd take them out in the grass and sun where I could get some cute pictures...
Mom seemed most interested in a dust bath...
And...
I guess it was on the broody thread where I expressed concern this morning, but my hen finally got off the nest today and took the babies for a walk in the barn. She's being such a good momma.
Here they are back in bed for the night.
Took this picture this morning... my thread about my broody hen has been in the incubation and hatching section, but as of this morning, we have two healthy chicks so I guess it's time we moved to this forum. :)
