I did research ahead of time on the chicks colors so no surprise for me. Although I still am unable to tell the difference between blue and lavender. What are the differences of each? Need something other then pics. :idunno

I had one chick that hatched with cross beak and one eye too. She was my only female. It's sad but culling has to be done. Don't give up! Although its sad, Use this as a learning experience and try again. Were you able to figure out why the others didn't hatch?

Morning all it's cold and windy here. Found my first frozen egg this morning. Someone must have laid during the night for it was under the roost. Really wonderful to know that you have many BYC friends that care and look out for one another here. Returning to stalking mode now.
