Hey does anybody have the same problem I do? My Brahmas are VERY loud. ?? Yes!! My Brahma squawks so loud I feel like my neighbors must hate me. Her egg song is not a song whatsoever... It's a mean wail.

My March born Brahma didn't start laying until mid September. She is by far the loudest bird I have. Her eggs also got larger as time passed. She lays about 3/4 a week.

How old are they?

The top row are eggs from BUff Brahma Clara from left being her first, to the middle one which was 2 days ago and then right one is this morning. Bottom row is from my EE. Clara's doesn't have those dots any longer. But I think they will unfortunately maintain this size. Oh well

This was both from the same bird, our EE Dorothy. She also will lay her egg right in my hand if I happen to be around!!

Could be a double yolker... I've gotten one of those from my EE and it was huge. I'll try and find the picture.

NewMarch2014, I also have a Buff Brahma hen who I got as a chick just this past March. She just laid her first egg Sunday, and another one yesterday. I anticipated a small egg for the first one, but yesterday's was just as small! My EE has been laying since August and lays larger brown eggs...
