One of my favorite mixes is a bantam birchen cochin(dad)/EE mix. And for the life of me, it looks like my three SSH/cochin/ d'Uccle mixes (not sutsure who daddy is) look like boys, but only obe crows, and has been for months. Mixes are hard to figure out.

Cochins will have the rounded, pillowey tail as opposed to pointy. Could she be a mix?

Either way, you could try some gentle massage. And you can do baby asprin for pain (unless you suspect internal bleeding). Injury is so hard. :(

Not really. My head dude has no problem letting roos #2 and #3 mate; nor any of the 9 bantam roos. He did, however, referee between #2 and #3 when ge decided they'd bickered enough. #2 just passed last week resulting we think from a horse kick. Roolet #13 is crowing; not sure on the chicks but...

Color? I got three with dotted heads; three without. No idea if it makes a difference. I'd love to have an idea on color, though.
