    I'm afraid we're suburban so no roos here :/ Purple-spotted? Huh! My Marans (I suspect - they're not shaped like the Wyandotte eggs) occasionally produce a mid brown egg with purplish spots, but this Brahma so far is giving me china-white eggs.

    Pretty birds, everyone! My beauteous Isabella has finally started laying this week, at the ripe old age of nine and a half months! Lovely medium sized eggs, porcelain white and very smooth-shelled. The golden partridge Brahma is still holding out on me, but she must be on the edge of laying.
