    This summer one of my hens...of the older layers...laid a large thin shelled egg with a small almost perfectly round egg inside..this round egg was much thicker shelled. I kept it, letting it dry out to preserve it...sometimes the egg making is jammed up ..you'll even find eggs sometimes not...
