Who else is waiting for that first egg?

Oh, well I'm so sorry you have them, but am relieved that it's not some predator that we have here that I didn't know about. They sound a little scary!

Who else is waiting for that first egg?

Congrats on your first egg! They will keep coming, and yes it would be nice to know who is laying what. One of mine is laying soft shelled eggs that keep getting stepped on and making a mess! I wonder if this means that she( whichever one she is) needs more calcium? I have them on layer feed...

Who else is waiting for that first egg?

Nice ones! I got my first egg yesterday and another small one today. I have been out to the coop about 5 times to check and see if there are more! Who else is waiting for that first egg?

Thanks Diana. I think I'll hold off on the layer feed as well. Also, now I know I have three ISAs. Mine were called golden comets, but I think they are the same. I know they are sex links at least. I am sure these chickens will lay eggs someday soon, but the suspense is killing me!

Wow! Some are laying eggs at 15 weeks? My mixed flock ar,e as of this coming Thursday, 18 and 19 weeks old. So I felt better reading your post. No eggs yet! Their combs are all red and I have seen a couple squat while walking around the yard. Should I put them on layer feed now or wait till they...
