I just received my first egg! In the nesting box too! It is sitting next to a large white store bought egg for comparison. I can't tell if it is a light brown egg from my BO, or pink from my EE. 20 1/2weeks of age.
With and without camera flash
My pullets are 19 weeks, I pet one of them yesterday and she promptly squatted (eek! Yay!) So exciting (or is it eggciting?) Moved the nesting boxes into the coop, complete with plastic eggs, and I'm officially on egg watch! Truthfully I have been checking for eggs for the last month though.
Girls are 14 weeks weeks now, I keep scowling at their combs and making egg talk to them. All I get back from them is," cluck, cluck."
I miss the fresh eggs and am so impatient!
Oh yes, just dying to get a basket full of eggs from my girls! They are 9 weeks old and looking very much like adult hens now (except they are half the size of course) So I am counting out the weeks on my calendar to get an idea of when I might find a pretty egg.
I chose, with great...
