Yes, I know, I was so pleased to see that we received rain here to help with the drought.
Glad your coop/ shed held up thru that!
My chickens loved coming out after the rain. They were zooming back and forth across the lawn fighting over all the bugs and worms. They seem to not mind the...
Let me add that I would not put hardware cloth on the floor of the coop. I was talking about attaching it to the coop and aproning it out about 12 inches and then putting the pavers on top of that. I would run 2x4 around the bottom of the coop to attach it to. Does that make sense to anyone...

What if you dug down and put hardware cloth...
Love the shed. It has so much character already! I get so excited to see all the ingenius ideas people are coming up with to recycle these older buildings. What a creative project to move thru. It does my heart good to see them useful again. And what better use than to give it to some beautiful...

Looks like your moving right along! Good job
On sealing the floor I really dont know what would be best. I usually just rely on the hardware store to guide me. If you explain what you are doing they usually know the right product for the job. I have had really good luck going to the "pro" desk...
Thats going to be a great coop. Cant wait to see it once it is finished.
For the DLM you dont want to use sand. I use a variety of natural elements that will break down and produce micro organisms which are very good for chickens. I use things like coconut mulch, grass and weed clippings...
