    I would think just separated should work up to a certain point. You plan to process while they are still young right? If they hit breeding age I would expect things to go south quickly. It only takes one to start a major fight.

    The coop can hold 12 while the run can hold 11. Even with the intention of letting them range there will come a time when that is not possible. That is when things get crazier in the coop and run. For nests......18 females will share 5-6 nests comfortably.
