No more bailing!!! I found a shorter hose with no kinks and drained the pool over nite. It worked! I won't have to put a drain in the pool or put it up on a deck. You just saved me a lot of money and labor, thank you.
I'm still working on the geese coop!!! Thanks for the invite anyway. I use to live in a little town call Willis near Floyd, VA off the Blue Ridge Parkway, not to far from NC.
LOL!!!! The pup is ceramic German Shepherd. I leave the mouse trap outside the coop with a lid on. When I put the birds in the coop at night, I take the lid off. The coop was my design. I designed it to fit my limitations. I don't have any help here, I do everything by myself. It calls for a lot...
Here's the guinea coop I built. It's a 20x20x8ft high. I put down the fabric when it's very cold
in Jan.
There's my watch dog.
Here's how i catch mice.
The goslings in the chicken tractor.
the fabric stays up for most of the year, but with the geese sharing it right now, I lower the...
When they out grew the water trough in the bedroom, I put them in the chicken (guinea) tractor where they were able to eat grass. Then at night, I put the chicken tractor in the guinea coop, that's like fort knocks. So the guineas were able to see them 24/7. I put up a chick wire fencing for...
I caught him coming out too. Yes, the bike is what's called a metallic Burgundy. It had a problem with a tire, so he ordered another tire. That's why I bought from a brick and mortar store and not from on-line. I paid a few dollars more, but it will come to me fully assembled, gassed and ready...
I don't know. I really haven't been watching. It was raining here and they have been spending a lot of time in over in the pasture with Penney (draft horse) & Red. When I go out, they come running to me, talking up a storm. They're really funny.
The ramp is a dog ramp. It's very heavy and expensive, made out of heavy aluminum. I was using it to push the chicken (guineas/geese) tractor into the guinea coop.
The water drain out pretty well, but not completely. I think it's because of several kinks in the hose. I did have to bail a bit this morning. I changed the small ramp for the big one. Hopefully they'll use the big one.
I lived in the Adirondacks for 11yrs. I lived up a mountain 6 miles from a town called Schroon Lake, NY, The only thing that grew, were wild flowers, no grass, no shrubs, nothing, but it was absolutely beautiful and I do miss it.
I found another hose, but it's full of kinks. I got most of the kinks out and did what you said. It is working!!!! but very slowly. I think it will go faster when the kinks are out. Hopefully by morning, the pool will be drained.
Do you use hay for bedding? If so, how often do you change it. Do...
I'll try that. There is no "down hill". Fl. is flat! But I'll give it a try. The hose might be to long for that. The outlet it's on the side and to the back of the house. I'll let you know how I make out.
I tried siphoning with a small garden hose, but it didn't work for me. Right now, I'm running the water into the pool, but it doesn't get out all the sediments at the bottom. Yes, I've been bailing and that gets pretty old, that's why I'm planning the deck with a kitchen sink strainer and PVC...
On the FR crumble bag, it says after 18 week to change to Layena, that's what has me confused. I feed the Guinea Layena, but they do like the FR crumbles. I'm kinda confused as to what to buy next.
