Awwwww, thank you! Congratulations on the precious little one! If you need any more pictures for reference, I have PLENTY. Just feel free to give me a holler!
Autocorrect is everybody's enemy, it seems....
Look at that puffy FACE of sweetness!!!!!!!
Agree, I see muffies and beardz, only...
My goodness, this thread must've been SO buried!
Long story short, both d'Uccles turned out to be adorable little cockerels. It actually took me almost a year to figure out "less developed" boy, a.k.a. Cooties, is indeed male. What a stumper that stinker was! He never grew pointed saddle...
Here are some updated pictures of Piranha and Barracuda, who are now about 4 weeks old: Piranha (the first two pictures) is definitely a cockerel, and I'm thinking Barracuda is, too, but not sure.
His wattles don't have pink hangies yet, and he doesn't sport black in his hackles like Piranha...
Boy, wouldn't that be wonderful? That way I could keep them both rather than only keeping Piranha.
I know exactly what you're talking about, because I had an OE and true Blue Ameraucana whom I thought were both cockerels.....but they turned out to be pullets! I was under the wrong impression...
Thank you both! You're right, it is pretty early. I guess I just got a little impatient in trying to figure out what I have, but only time will tell in this situation! Yes, I will keep updating.

You won't be disappointed! They're the friendliest in the bunch. In fact, you crush their dreams by either not letting them fly up on your arm or putting them down.
I can't wait to see just how stunning they'll be when full grown......

I'm beginning to think two of my Mille Fleurs (and, ironically, my favorites) are cockerels because of the size of their combs at 2 1/2 weeks of age. Piranha is the first one, and whether he turns out to be a boy or not, I'm keeping him. These are not hatchery stock.
