Could be. But I also have one really large girl. Might be because I am working with color stock. Whites might be more consistent. Anybody?

How is the little one? These are my oldest babies. And some really ratty adults ready to molt! The solid blue smooth-breast one I am pretty sure is a gander. He is just about 9 weeks and is bigger than the adult females. Very similar shape to his grampa, who is also on the big side for a...

We always said the same about Ohio! Shellie- glad you think the one is a buff. You can never have too many buffs! I made a little video of some of the other baby geese and ducks in their playpen with one of my ganders. Its still a mess here because of all the flooding, but at least its...

So cute, Psue! Love the cap on your gander. These are the (5) babies that came in the mail today form Colorado. I know one is grey, but waiting to hear what the others might be. Buff or splash could be in the mix. They don't look anything like my others that are blue, lav and saddleback.

Ok- found it. I have been a member there for a few years. I seem to really just have issues with access to THIS forum I had only gone 2 days without misting, so I will go back to it. So here's the thing- its a real mixed bag in there. Some are losing fine, and a few are not. Even ones set...

I have done all that. I run it totally dry- humidity has been between 17 and 23% the entire time. I cool and mist daily starting at day 7,but I stopped misting the last few days hoping for some moisture loss. The fan runs constantly. I have duck eggs and other goose eggs that are losing weight...

Yes- following it through. But what do you do when you are down to the last 2 days or so and it seems like drowning is imminent? I am on the forum, will try over there too in the morning. Thanks ;)

Pete! While you are here.... I have a couple eggs that are almost due, clearly alive, but not losing enough weight. Is there anything I can do so they do not drown?
