@Papa Brooder sells and ships chicks and adults. He is out of Redding CA and I got mine from him. Not sure what kind of stock he has available now, but I am pretty sure he will have them next season. He ha great quality birds!

How exciting! Where are you getting them from? IN my experience, they ALL have the button. It will only develop in the cockerels though and will usually take a while to do that even with them. Cockerels of most breeds will have thicker legs, but that may not be easy to spot at that age...

Anyone want to venture a guess on the sex of this one? It is about 4 month old and towers above the others. I am pretty sure it cockerel, but he seems to have the all-over laced patters with no real different in color in the saddle/hackle.. This is "him" next to another one from the same...
