Honestly, I usually don't notice the down time because I usually have three or more females in a pen. I would guess the downtime is usually a couple of weeks at the most. I think pulling the eggs daily tends to make them just keep on laying with minimal down time. Egg laying started so early...

I get about the same as deerman. My fertility has sucked this year so far. Probably because of the weather and early eggs.

kathye, She will go through the same cycle again and possibly a third or fourth time. They are not that hard to hatch. What are you using?
