I agree. They need the fresh air of the outdoors, especially in the winter months, and the cold doesn't affect their feet whatsoever. If it did, there would be a lot of wild birds out there without feet. My birds don't mind the snow, frozen ground or anything else to do with winter....they...
When I was working full time I did exactly what I do now....feed once a day in the morning in the winter months, let them free range at will and leave the pop door open at all times(I had and still have 2 chicken dogs on guard), any birds that feel broody get their own pen until they get over...
