    I've done it with all of my chickens I've ever gotten and there's nothing special about them. Gotten them from people on Craigslist and hatchery birds and it's worked for me every time.

    Welcome to BYC! Those are on the young side to try and sex them by their combs. If you can get a picture of the wing stretched out. I know some people doubt the method I use but it has never failed me.
