    Well, according to the standard of perfection for Barnevelders, the cockerels do have laced chests, and the black patch appears only on the upper wing. Interesting. The red patch isn’t mentioned. Can’t remember the source of that other information. I actually think cockerel is more likely...

    They don’t get male saddle feathers until like 12 weeks. I’m not convinced that’s leakage. My opinion is still pullet.

    In my opinion, that probably going to turn out to be a pullet, mostly because the chest feathers are coming in mottled and not solid black. (Just an opinion; not 100% sure.)
