Thank you. Will finish today... Hopefully coop will be done soon. Edit: OK, maybe won't be done today. Wife wants to load up the kids and head to Solvang. Family time is just as good though!

Run painted and simple swingers framed.

Run almost completely painted. Should be done tomorow or wed. Framing doors wed also. Hopefully stretch wire by the weekend. Coop is about 50% painted. With any luck I'll be done in a week. YAY!!!

Ok, nice. Took chicks outside for first time today and they LOVED IT! Working on run and makeshift coop now...

Ok. And they should remain INSIDE the coop for 1 to 2 weeks before allowing them into the run?

Ok, cool. Food... Right now I'm feeding these guys Purina start and grow medicated. They should eat this for about 2 months, correct? After? Can i make my own feed? Thanks...

Ok. Nesting... do they need seperated "nests" or would they share a large one? Will most any container suffice?

Awesome. Here goes... Am i right in my understanding that i can getaway with a smaller coop 5'x2.5'×2.5' for 2 silkies provided i have a larger run? Their run will be roughly 20'x4' on the eide of my house and they will have daily access to my yard of roughly 70'x20'.

Thanks! Ive been navigating the site a bit and learning a lot. I havent, however, found out if i must make my nesting boxes come off the side of my coop or if they can simply nest inside. Thoughts? Thanks again!

Yes, i was somewhat aware of the chicks needs as a "newborn." And have a nice little area ser up in the house for them. It is my understanding that they can go outside at 3-4 months. Thoughts? Thx for the help/advice.
