I have 5 girls, had 2 "nests" but they all prefer this one, have seen 4 in at once and I'm sure 5 would fit! I removed the second nest & the dust bath under the nest since they prefer the dirt. 4 lay in the early morning the last prefers laying early afternoon, after they have their noon snack.- ChickNanny13
