I actually gave the rooster away as I live in Richardson city limits..DFW. They have all started hanging in the coop more. I have nesting boxes, but they have been covered to prevent them from sleeping inside of them.

So I decided to buy 4 chicks on February 22nd. I figured I had until September before I needed the nesting boxes. Came home today after leaving the house early and went to check on/say hello to the girls...now there are 3 (one was a he). Well, I almost literally cried! So do I need to switch...
