Okay, thanks. Now I know I lost one of the Bielfelders. Shame too. I was looking forward to two Bielfelders. But I'll just have to be satisfied with 7 healthy chicks and thank my God for them. :thumbsup

I pretty much had that figured out..............but.......................there are three chicks that resemble Rocky Mountain Chipmonks and they are the Sussex and Bielfelder. In the picture the one you've labled Bielfelder just "looks" slightly lighter but the three of them together look like...

Black Astrolorp, Buff Orpingtons, Speckled Sussex and Bielefelder, 2 each. Lost one in route. Not sure which breed yet. The "rocks" are oyster shell. Thanks for the tip............I'll pull it out of the box next trip out. Thought they were too large for those tiny beaks.

Well, I don't have a really fancy cell-phone but here ya go. Besides, with my eye surgery I'm lucky I can see the shutter release on my screen. :idunno

I'll have to take back what I said. I've had to clean her up twice today. So after church tomorrow we'll be going for some yogurt as you recommended. Think we've named our first chickie-girl "Stinky-butt".

Thanks. I'll see if I can keep up with it with a warm water cloth for now. If I go the yogurt route, are you suggesting it for all of them to eat or just the one? (don't know how I could cordon off just one chick)

Well, I've got one with Pasty Butt............and I've tried cleaning her off a couple of times today......................but you know how often they poop, so the journey continues. :lau

Thanks for the kind thoughts. Today is the first day I've been able to see well enough to use the computer or make telephone calls. My drive to the Post Office wasn't necessarily as safe as it could be, but I made it. Litte wife is working at the gallery today and so I was on my own...

Didn't hear from Murray McMurray that they had shipped, but I was still in bed from this surgery and got a phone call from the Post Office this morning. Chicks arrived. Got up, got dressed and went into town and got them. One had died unfortunately. Sad. They are such sweet little things...

Well............my surgery is only 6 days away and counting. I have no idea how long my sight will cause me problems afterwards. I sure hope it won't be too long. I do know I won't be allowed to lift weights for at least two weeks, so no trips to the gym. Have all their feed, grit and shell...

Thanks for the prayers. Believe me I need and believe in prayer. Wife isn't a Gritch. She's a very sought-after artist. In three galleries in Oklahoma City and one in Amarillo, TX. :eek: Two of the three in Okla City are COOPS and she has to work her share of time in them. She paints 24/7...

Thank you one and all. Little wife can help but she's not too keen on the idea. She grew up in a chicken farm family and has had her fill of fowl . So it's an inconvenience for her if I ask.

Murray McMurray sent me an email earlier this week saying my chickies would be shipping the week of April 3rd. Said they'd ship on the 3rd, 4th or 5th. A couple of weeks ago I was scheduled for a two-eye surgery. Surgeon is going to cut the muscles in both eyes and realign things. And, of...
