I'm so happy that you are able to keep some hens, Mahonri. Maybe you need one of those treadle feeders so you don't feed the wild birds? Gallo del Cielo has a pattern on his BYC page, and I saw some for sale on ebay once. You probably know all about them, but I thought I would just mention it.
