Awe, that's going to be so fun for you. I know some folks that do lockdowns at 5 days before hatch. I do the recommended 3 though, but just saying a day or two too soon wouldn't probably matter to them.

Lockdown is three days before they are due to hatch, so you're right, day 16 for silkies no matter the size of the air sacs. Good luck on your hatch!
