Good morning. It's nice at 54F today, but the wind is 24 mph so pretty breezy. I watch my fluffy silkies try to walk around outside and wonder if one's going to tip over. :gig
Just planted the 4 O'clocks indoors from seeds tonight. Would have done it yesterday but read the packet which said to nick or soak them first.
We're going to try plant a few buckets around the property as I read Japanese beetles like them and they'll eat on them and die. 🪲

We get it here in WI and already did earlier this year during the warm spell. They were about a quarter size but those big ones lasted for only about 30 seconds and the rest was nickel, then pea size. I've never seen golf ball sized but after hearing those quarter sized ones hitting the house...
We still have snow from yesterday and are under a winter storm watch for more. The high today was 32F and a low of 23F. I am seriously not excited about this either! I want spring! 🌺
It's so cold here, back in the 20's and snow in the forecast again. If this is the first day of spring, I'll take that winter we had a few weeks ago. :)
We've got one in the coop, but we're dummies not to pick up a couple more for the temp coops!
That's a much more economical way than us running those on low even on days when it was in the 60's here!
Thanks for the reminder. :old
My mom had colon cancer at 76, had surgery and chemo and was clean by 77, then had shingles twice and convinced me to get the vaccinations which I did. At 78 she died of a heart attack. The only blessing is this was the December before Covid hit.
That's where I get the whole nuts for the parrots. That's a treat for them. I've also gotten a dried cranberry granola type mix that was outstanding but pricey!
